Forty-nine years ago on Dec. 3, 1968, Elvis Presley made a comeback with his very own comeback special. Even though it debuted around the holidays, it was nothing like the Christmas specials you see on television today. Elvis did serenade his adoring fans with his song “Blue Christmas,” but he also sang some of the songs he was known for.

In the video below, Elvis is seen singing his classic song “That’s All Right (Mama)” during his special. With over 1.2 million views, Elvis’ fans still can’t get over this performance. He put a sexy twist on the song with his signature growls and snarls as he enthusiastically plays his acoustic guitar.

He was even decked out in black head-to-toe leather, looking very much like the part of a rock star. Elvis felt the music as the crowd of women looked on in amazement. They went wild and swooned every time he sang. Even his bandmates playfully yelled: “play it dirty, play it dirty!”
