We love how even though she wrote this thirty-three years ago, it’s sung as warmly as if the thoughts had just occurred to her. How is that so magical, that words when retouched can suddenly take on a different meaning once time has passed? Whatever the reason, Cindi Lauper’s hit ballad “Time After Time” is a much-beloved song (remember when it was the star of the dance in “Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion”?). So even as Cindi sings it decades later, it still has the force that shows why it has such incredible charisma and staying power. We are happily enchanted. See more below.
