Bob Dylan’s fans are not aware of this unreleased track. Not even his hardcore fans were aware of this song, which will be released on the next Bootleg Series release. Bob Dylan wrote hundreds of gospel songs throughout 1978. Many of the songs that were not released were played on his gospel tours.

One of those songs includes “Making a Liar Out of Me.” The song was once referenced in Clinton Heylin’s book, Still on the Road: The Songs of Bob Dylan, 1974-2007. Not even Dylan’s fans knew about the origins of the song or its sound. Nothing was heard about this track until Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The song will finally be released on Trouble No More: The Bootleg Vol. 13/1979-1981. The six-and-a-half-minute song is deeply personal and shakes you to your core. This song and “Yonder Comes Sin” (another unreleased Bob Dylan track) didn’t make it to his live sets but will be finally be heard.
