Did you know that this Bee Gees hit was actually written for a great cause? It’s true. The 70s disco kings gave back to the needy when they wrote their ballad “Too Much Heaven” for the “Music for UNICEF” fund. Performing it at the UNICEF Concert on January 9, 1979 first before adding it to their thirteenth album, “Spirits Having Flown” was incredibly generous. It was a great success, hitting the top spot in both the US and Canada. It was actually the fourth of their six consecutive chart toppers. Yeow! Pretty impressive feat.
